A bit about the company, our principles and the team

Red Fox Cycles was founded by Sam Cooper in 2016, with a desire to combine his passion for bikes and building things that look and feel good.

Philippe and Jonas officially joined in 2025, with the ambition of making Red Fox and Sam’s creation known to a wider audience. We are an independent manufacturer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

We build custom and batch produced bikes using titanium, carbon, and various types of steel.

The Red Fox Team

Meet the team behind Red Fox — skilled builders and riders who pour their passion into creating bikes made for speed, adventure, and pure riding joy.

Jonas Stampe

Jonas has a big passion for cycling, especially in the track bike scene. He has done some frame building himself but decided he could be more effective applying his commercial and business development experience for Red Fox.

Jonas is supporting the business side of our business, getting our name and bikes out to potential customers. Coming from the start-up world he has the creative business head needed for a small niche brand like Red Fox to move out in the world. Jonas is a bundle of energy and engagement, and you’ll find him commuting on his track bike, swerving through traffic in Copenhagen.

Sam Cooper

Sam has been designing and building bikes for about 10 years, and has a profound passion for bikes, building things and making them look so so good!

Being the initial personification of Red Fox, Sam’s ambition is to create bikes that people hold on to, a sort of timeless use of modern technology combined with a fun ride. As for everything that has to do with Red Fox, Sam does it for the passion, not the paycheck. He is the backbone of our design and production, and has the added benefit of being one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Philippe Guichard

Philippe is a passionate cyclist and a budding frame builder. He mainly rides road, but since joining Red Fox, you’ll find him smashing around the woods on this Trespass ever so often!

He comes from a business career in corporate HR, and uses this business knowledge to streamline production and administration processes. As he ups his skills in frame building, he will be more and more hands-on in production. Philippe is a positive, reflected guy, who is all about the big, bold colours. When you see him riding his bikes, you’ll remember the classic designs and the crazy paint jobs.

Here are the principles that go into Red Fox and all the products we make

Performance, Technology, Fun, and Good Vibes

1

Performance

Our bikes don’t just look fast — they are fast. Whether you’re smashing gravel races or hauling gear across the wild unknown, Red Fox bikes are built to take a beating and still come out flying. You bring the adventure; we’ll bring the performance.

2

Technology

We’re tech nerds, and proud of it. From the wildest 3D-printed parts to the slickest production tech, we obsess over every detail so your bike rides like a dream. If it makes your bike faster, tougher, or cooler, we’re already testing it.

3

Fun

Fun isn’t an extra — it’s the whole point. Around here, we’re usually either cracking up over some ridiculous idea, getting way too excited about a new part, or planning our next epic ride. Bikes are awesome, and we make sure it stays that way.

4

Good Vibes

If you swing by the workshop, expect some good drum and bass pumping, maybe even some beers after working hours, and a whole lot of good energy. Red Fox is built on vibes — real ones. Whether you’re a racer, a messenger, or just love a good ride, you’re always welcome in the fox hole.

The workshop

Our workshop is placed at Uplandsgade 72, just next to Kløvermarken. At our workshop, we have various mills, lathes and tools that we use in our building process, as well as a showroom/coffee lounge and an office space.

Oh, and we’ve recently built a paint-booth for our in-house painter Andreas, who can provide your Red Fox bike with a unique paint job, and takes orders independently as well.

So swing by, get a complimentary coffee, and check out the place. Watch our calendar for events – we do social rides, Friday bars and the occasional party 🙂
